  • Ismaila Sarr has contributed with goal contributions from the bench in Senegal’s last two matches and it would be a big call now to give him his first start of the tournament in the final at the expense of someone else.
  • Reserve goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal played through the pain barrier to emerge as Egypt’s penalty shoot-out hero again as they defeated hosts Cameroon on Thursday night.
  • Egypt’s first-choice gaoalkeeper, Mohamed El Shenawy, is an injury doubt still and it would be fairly harsh to drop Gabal at this point. It could be a big decision for Carlos Queiroz.
  • Mohamed Sherif was subbed on in extra-time only to be subbed off at the end for a penalty shoot-out specialist but he may have to settle for a place on the bench here.
  • Mahmoud Hamdi El Wensh will hope to keep his place at the back with Ahmed Hegazy still a doubt.

  • Graham Alexander made three changes – alongside a formation alteration – after the Steelmen fell to a 2-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle, before rescuing a point in Paisley thanks to a last-gasp equaliser in their 1-1 draw with St Mirren.
  • Bevis Mugabi returned to the heart of the Steelmen’s defence. Sean Goss returned to the Motherwell midfield, as did Liam Donnelly after serving his suspension following his sending off at home to Hibs.
  • Barry Maguire missed out through injury, while both Jordan Roberts and Ross Tierney dropped to the bench. However, having netted the equaliser, the latter is pushing for a start in this one.
  • Ange Postecoglou made four changes after Celtic left it late to beat Dundee United 1-0 at Parkhead last weekend before they blew their bitter rivals Rangers away with a comprehensive 3-0 victory at Parkhead.
  • Two of those alterations arrived in the full-back positions, as Liam Scales and Anthony Ralston were replaced by Greg Taylor and Josip Juranovic at both left and right-back.
  • There was a surprise inclusion for club captain Callum McGregor, with the masked midfielder still nursing a facial injury. Jota also returned to the starting eleven and Daizen Maeda appeared off the bench after returning from international duty.

  • Giovanni van Bronckhorst made just one change despite Rangers’ topsy-turvy 3-3 draw with Ross County in Dingwall before they were blown away by their bitter rivals, losing 3-0 to Celtic at Parkhead.
  • Ryan Jack made his long-awaited return from injury as a second-half substitute, and his performance was one of few positives in the Old Firm. Elsewhere in midfield, Aaron Ramsey could make his Rangers debut against the Jambos here.
  • Steven Davis was also amongst the substitutes after a spell on the sidelines through injury. The only change was Cedric Itten dropping onto the substitutes bench, with Kemar Roofe taking his place in attack.
  • Robbie Neilson made two changes to the Hearts team that clinched a 2-0 win over Motherwell at Tynecastle at the weekend, before their midweek match ended as a stalemate in the Edinburgh derby with a 0-0 draw at Easter Road against Hibs.
  • John Souttar allegedly missed training on Monday. Speculation was suggesting that he could sign for Rangers, having already signed a pre-contract with the Gers. He’s a Hearts player for now but Toby Sibbick replaced him in defence.
  • Gary Mackay-Steven was given the opportunity at the top of the quintet in midfield against Motherwell, but was replaced by Barrie McKay as the second Edinburgh derby of the season finished in a goalless draw.
