  • Mateo Kovacic is set to miss out on Saturday after picking up an ankle injury against Leeds on Wednesday.
  • Jorginho returned from injury in the 3-0 win over Leeds but N’Golo Kante missed out once more.
  • Romelu Lukaku has scored in back-to-back matches to give Thomas Tuchel a selection headache up front.
  • Fabinho will miss Saturday’s FA Cup final with a hamstring injury suffered in midweek. Jordan Henderson will cover for the Brazilian.
  • Mo Salah and Thiago will return to the starting XI after dropping to the bench for Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
  • Andy Robertson was given the night off completely against Villa and should return at left-back here.
  • Jurgen Klopp has to choose between Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate at centre-back to partner Virgil van Dijk.

  • Despite ending the campaign with eight points from a possible 12 available, it wasn’t enough to secure a place in the top-three for Mansfield, who have to settle for the play-offs. The Stags’ successful season was built on a strong home record, though, with only Tranmere (51) collecting more points, which should give them hope of taking some sort of lead to Sixfields.
  • Northampton rounded off their season with a string of fine results, and will consider themselves extremely unfortunate not to already be a League One club. The Cobblers won 3-1 at Barrow last Saturday, which appeared to be enough to secure third place, only for Bristol Rovers to pip them on goals scored following an incredible 7-0 win over Scunthorpe.
  • Jon Brady’s side have won their last three away games, although their most recent defeat was a 1-0 loss here less than six weeks ago.
