AFCON 25/1/2022. There are two games in the AFCON today. Senegal takes on Cape Verde in the early game. Morocco plays Malawi in the late game.
AFCON 25/1/2022 – Senegal v Cape Verde
- Cheikhou Kouyate is suspended after his booking in the 0-0 draw with Malawi and it leaves Aliou Cisse with a decision to make as to who deputises in the middle of the park.
- Bouna Sarr may move back into midfield, which would see Ibrahima Mbaye feature at right-back, while Mamadou Loum, Pape Gueye and Nampalys Mendy are also options to start in the middle of the park.
- Cape Verde have no injury or suspension concerns for their last-16 meeting with Senegal.
- They should go with a three-man backline once more, with Julio Tavares set to lead the charge.

- Ilias Chair is the only Morocco absentee here, though he would not have started anyway.
- Youssef En-Nesyri and Zakaria Aboukhlal will have to make do with spots on the bench, with Ayoub El Kaabi leading the charge.
- Malawi captain Limbikani Mzava is expected to miss Tuesday’s last-16 game, which is a blow.
- Lawrence Chaziya should deputise alongside Dennis Chembezi and Gomezgani Chirwa in a three-man backline.

- Club captain Stefan Johansen is a doubt for the visit of Swansea and will be assessed prior to kick off.
- Central midfielder Luke Amos and centre forward Charlie Austin are both potential options that Mark Warburton could recall for this midweek encounter.
- Swansea boss Russell Martin could hand a first league start to attacking midfielder Hannes Wolf after the German impressed from the bench against Preston at the weekend.
- The visitors have no confirmed absentees for the trip to London.
