Ethan Pinnock is back from a one-match ban and should return in defence for the Championship side.

Christian Norgaard was back on the bench for Brentford’s 3-1 win over Reading at the weekend after more than two months on the sidelines.

Newcastle look set to be without for players for Tuesday’s trip to London to face Championship side Brentford in the Carabao Cup.

Martin Dubravka and Federico Fernandez are unlikely to feature for the Magpies, while Allan Saint-Maximin and Jamaal Lascelles both have COVID-19.

Steve Bruce is expected to shuffle his pack from the side that drew 1-1 with Fulham at the weekend.

Jamal Lewis, Ryan Fraser, Isaac Hayden, Jeff Hendrick and Jacob Murphy should all return to the starting XI.
