• Robert Lewandowski has been ruled out for four weeks with a knee injury and will miss both legs against Paris Saint-Germain a big blow for the home side.
• Serge Gnabry has tested positive for COVID-19, therefore limiting blunting Bayern’s attack here.
• Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is next in line but it wouldn’t be a surprise if Flick comes up with another approach here.
• Alphonso Davies and Jerome Boateng return to the fold here after missing out against RB Leipzig at the weekend through suspension.
• Lucas Hernandez and Niklas Sule are in competition with Davies and Boateng, respectively, for a place in the starting XI on Wednesday. Davies may even play further forward here.

• Marco Verratti and Alessandro Florenzi have returned positive COVID-19 tests since returning from national duty with Italy.
• Marco Verratti has tested positive for COVID-19 and misses out for Paris Saint-Germain in a huge blow for the away side.
• With Danilo Pereira a doubt, Ander Herrera may be paired with Idrissa Gueye in central midfield with Leandro Paredes suspended.
• Thilo Kehrer really struggled against Lille at the weekend in Florenzi’s absence and could lose his place in the side to Colin Dagba here.
• Mauricio Pochettino has at least recovered Neymar since they dumped Barcelona out of the competition last time out.
• Mauro Icardi and Layvin Kurzawa are other doubts for the away side after missing out at the weekend.

• FC Porto will have to make do without key pair Mehdi Taremi and Sergio Oliveira for their first leg encounter with Chelsea.
• Taremi was foolishly sent off against Juventus last time out in the competition and Oliveira reached a milestone of bookings.
• Liverpool loanee Marko Grujic may get a rare start in central midfield, with Luis Diaz next in line to start up front with Taremi out.
• Malang Sarr can play against parent club Chelsea but isn’t likely to start.

• Christian Pulisic is unlikely to recover in time to face FC Porto after suffering another hamstring scare against West Brom on Saturday.
• Kai Havertz may be trusted to lead the line over Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud on Wednesday night.
• Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James are in competition at right wing-back for the away side.
