Euro 2020 14/6/2021
Euro 2020 14/6/2021. Three games in Euro 2020 today. At 14:00, on BBC One, is Scotland v Croatia. At 17:00, on ITV, is Poland v Slovakia. The late game at 20:00, on ITV, is Spain v Ukraine.
Euro 2020 14/6/2021 – Scotland v Czech Republic
- Billy Gilmour was forced off late on in Scotland’s pre-Euro 2020 win over Luxembourg, though that was more of a precaution and he should be fit to feature.
- Whether Gilmour starts is another matter entirely, with Steve Clarke set to use John McGinn, Scott McTominay and Callum McGregor in midfield.
- Tomas Kalas will start alongside Ondrej Celustka at the heart of the defence on Monday afternoon.
- Patrik Schick is expected to lead the charge, with Adam Hlozek the striking option in reserve; Hlozek ended the season strongly, so could prove a handful for Scotland if he is used.
- Lukas Provod is ruled out of the tournament, and that should see Alex Kral start alongside Tomas Soucek in the middle of the park.
Euro 2020 14/6/2021 – Poland v Slovakia
- Krzysztof Piatek and Arkadiusz Milik both miss Euro 2020 through injury, so Dawid Kownacki could partner Robert Lewandowski in attack.
- Arkadiusz Reca and Krystian Bielik also failed to recover from injury in time and miss out, while Jan Bednarek will be assessed ahead of Monday’s meeting with Slovakia.
- Ivan Schranz sustained a thigh injury against Austria last week and misses out.
- Captain Marek Hamsik suffered a calf injury at the end of last season, but should be fit enough to start.
Euro 2020 14/6/2021 – Spain v Sweden
- Sergio Busquets misses out after recently testing positive for COVID-19, which should see Rodri deputise.
- Diego Llorente has since returned two negative tests after testing positive, so should be available for Luis Enrique in some capacity.
- Gerard Moreno is expected to get the nod ahead of Alvaro Morata to lead the charge.
- Dejan Kulusevski and Mattias Svanberg both returned positive COVID-19 tests last week and are unavailable.
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not called up to the Sweden squad owing to injury, which means Alexander Isak and Marcus Berg are set to start in a 4-4
