  • Jed Wallace and George Evans returned from COVID-19 in Millwall’s 3-2 defeat away to Bristol City at the weekend. Wallace is in doubt to face Palace amid intense interest from other clubs.
  • The Championship outfit will continue to be without Ryan Leonard, Conor Mahoney and Danny Ballard for the welcome of Crystal Palace on Saturday.
  • George Long started in goal during Millwall’s League Cup campaign and will hope to rotate into the side here, particularly after Bartosz Bialkowski’s error at the weekend.
  • Conor Gallagher has missed Crystal Palace’s last two through illness but has since returned to training and could be involved here. James McArthur is still out.
  • Palace have now lost Wilfried Zaha, Cheikhou Kouyate and Jordan Ayew to AFCON but Jeffrey Schlupp was snubbed by Ghana.
  • Patrick Vieira is certainly forced into wholesale changes this weekend but likely would have made them anyway.
  • Jean-Philippe Mateta is reportedly close to leaving Palace so may not play again until his future is resolved.
  • Michael Olise scored and assisted off the bench against West Ham at the weekend and will certainly start this one.
  • Eberechi Eze could make his first start for Palace since May after returning to first-team action at the start of December.
  • Nathan Ferguson could make his full Palace debut some 18 months after joining the Eagles, though he wasn’t even in the matchday squad last time out.
  • Martin Kelly and Nathaniel Clyne are pushing for rare starts, with the latter poised to return to the squad this weekend.

  • Callum Elder went off after 16 minutes in Hull’s 1-0 defeat to Blackpool at the weekend and is unlikely to recover in time to face Everton. Josh Magennis went off injured after half-time and is also a doubt.
  • Brandon Fleming is back from a four-month lay-off after making the matchday squad against Blackpool but Alfie Jones, Lewis Coyle and Joshua Emmanuel remain doubts for the Championship outfit.
  • Alex Iwobi is now on Africa Cup of Nations duty and won’t play for Everton until next month.
  • Everton’s injury problems have eased significantly of late with Richarlison, Andros Townsend and Yerry Mina now the only ones ruled out.
  • Everton have strengthened both full-back positions already this month with the double arrival of Vitalii Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv and highly rated Rangers youngster Nathan Patterson. Both could debut here.
  • Lucas Digne has requested to leave Everton this month and has likely played his final game for the club. Jonjo Kenny may also depart with Patterson now at the club.
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to start to rebuild his confidence after last weekend’s penalty miss.
  • Fabian Delph and Jarrad Branthwaite were missing in Everton’s defeat to Brighton last weekend and remain doubts here.
