Chelsea v Luton
- Frank Lampard is expected to ring the changes after Tuesday night’s poor 2-0 defeat to Leicester.
- N’Golo Kante is unlikely to be risked, with Thiago Silva also due a rest. Olivier Giroud is a slight doubt with an ankle injury.
- Look for fit-again Andreas Christensen to partner up with Kurt Zouma at centre-back, with Kepa coming into the side in goal. Emerson and Cesar Azpilicueta could complete an entirely new back five from midweek.
- Jorginho, Billy Gilmour, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech will also push for starts on Sunday.
- Kai Havertz and Callum Hudson-Odoi both disappointed against Leicester but will hope for another chance to impress this weekend.
- Tom Lockyer was shown a straight red card in midweek and is now suspended. Glen Rea may drop into defence again.
- Martin Cranie and Eunan O’Kane remain sidelined for the Championship outfit.
Brentford v Leicester City
- Josh Dasilva and Ivan Toney are suspended for Brentford in big blows for the Championship outfit.
- Jamie Vardy wouldn’t have been risked in this fixture anyway but Leicester have confirmed their star striker will have surgery on a persistent hip problem and is now out for a couple of weeks.
- Dennis Praet is the only other player ruled out for Leicester ahead of this tricky FA Cup fourth round tie with Championship side Brentford. Nampalys Mendy is a doubt.
- Ricardo Pereira and Caglar Soyuncu will hope to start here after both finally recovering from long-term injuries.
- The likes of Cengiz Under, Ayoze Perez, Kelechi Iheanacho will also push for starts, but Brendan Rodgers could name a stronger-than-expected side here.
Fulham v Burnley
- Fulham manager Scott Parker will no doubt shuffle his pack from the side that lost 2-1 to Manchester United on Wednesday.
- Mario Lemina and Aleksandar Mitrovic are back from injury and should slot into the side here. Bobby Reid missed out in midweek through suspension but is also available again.
- Look for Marek Rodak and Josh Onomah to start here as well.
- Charlie Taylor was forced off with injury on his return to full fitness against Liverpool on Thursday and will miss out here.
- Bailey Peacock-Farrell was back on the bench in midweek and will hope to resume his duties in goal for the FA Cup. Jimmy Dunne remains a doubt.
- Jay Rodriguez, Jack Cork and Dale Stephens should come into the starting XI to face Fulham.
Manchester United v Liverpool
- Manchester United have a decent recovery period ahead of Sunday’s welcome of Liverpool but then just three days until their next game. It will be interesting to see how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer manages this period.
- Donny van de Beek will be desperate to play but that depends whether Solskjaer decides to give Bruno Fernandes a rare rest.
- Marcus Rashford will return to the starting XI after starting Wednesday’s win over Fulham on the bench, potentially replacing Anthony Martial in the XI.
- Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic will push for recalls on Sunday, though Paul Pogba could continue after sparking into superb form of late.
- Victor Lindelof should return for the home side, while Alex Telles and Dean Henderson will likely also rotate into the side.
- Joel Matip returned to first-team action in the 1-0 defeat to Burnley and Konstantinos Tsimikas was on the bench.
- Diogo Jota is still a few weeks away from returning for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
- Dropped to the bench in midweek, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino should return to the XI here.
- Trent Alexander-Arnold has performed poorly for a number of weeks now and should be given a rest.
- Jordan Henderson missed the defeat to Burnley owing to fitness issues and he is a doubt this weekend.
FA Cup & Others 24/1/2021 – Everton v Sheffield Wednesday
- Dominic Calvert-Lewin is back available but Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed a host of absentees this weekend including Lucas Digne, Allan and Alex Iwobi.
- Similarly to Everton, Sheffield Wednesday haven’t played since early January so the current state of the squad is unclear.
- Sheffield Wednesday could only name four substitutes in their 2-0 win away to Exeter in the FA Cup third round last time out.
- Adam Reach returned from injury earlier this month but there are still doubts over six players.
