- Liam McAlinden has played a direct hand in four of Morecambe’s last five goals, playing a major role in the absence of John O’Sullivan on the right wing.
- Stephen Hendrie missed their second leg with Newport, owing to injury sustained in the first game, and he remains a doubt ahead of Monday’s trip to Wembley. Liam Gibson looks good to continue at left-back.
- Kelvin Mellor is back from suspension but may have to settle for a place on the bench once again here, with Ryan Cooney preferred.
- Newport’s substitutes came to the rescue in the second leg against Forest Green, as Nicky Maynard, Kevin Ellison and Joss Labadie all scored off the bench to secure an extra-time win.
- Lewis Collins was fit enough to start last time out to leave Newport with a clean bill of health heading into Monday’s League Two play-off final at Wembley.
- Michael Flynn will surely consider some of those that made big impacts off the bench for starts against Morecambe.
