Portugal v France

Portugal rested their regular starters for Wednesday’s 7-0 win over Andorra and will recall the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes to face France here.

Anthony Lopes started Portugal’s UEFA Nations League campaign as their No.1 but after starting the midweek win over Andorra it suggests Rui Patricio will be in goal here.

Wolves’ Pedro Neto required eight minutes to open his account for Portugal on debut but will drop to the bench here.

Joao Moutinho and William Carvalho appear to be in competition for a third midfield spot for Portugal, with Danilo Pereira and Fernandes expected to start.

Bernardo Silva has been a regular for Portugal during this season’s UEFA Nations League campaign despite not operating at his best for Manchester City.

Paul Pogba turned in another poor performance in France’s shock 2-0 defeat to Finland on Wednesday and his place in the team is in doubt here.

Didier Deschamps will be desperate to have PSG’s Kylian Mbappe available here but the starlet is a major doubt for the away side. Anthony Martial is on standby.

We could see an entirely new backline on display against Portugal, with Hugo Lloris, Benjamin Pavard, Raphael Varane, Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez set for recalls.

Adrien Rabiot has started three of France’s four Nations League matches and looks set to return here. N’Golo Kante and Antoine Griezmann will also be back in the mix.

Marcus Thuram failed to take his opportunity on his France debut and will drop to the bench here.
Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursde
