Premier League 18/9/2021 – Wolves v Brentford (12:30)

  • After netting off the bench against Watford, Hwang Hee-Chan may be rewarded with a start at the expense of Trincao.
  • No further changes are expected from Bruno Lage, who is without Jonny, Pedro Neto and Hugo Bueno.
  • Thomas Frank has no additional injury concerns with Josh Dasilva and Mads Sorensen still sidelined.
  • Frank could make one change to the side that lost to Brighton, with Frank Onyeka coming in for Shandon Baptiste in midfield.

Premier League 18/9/2021 – Aston Villa v Everton

  • Emiliano Martinez and Emiliano Buendia will only return to Aston Villa on the morning of the game after being forced to isolate from international duty in Argentina, which is far from ideal for Dean Smith. The former has the best chance of featuring of the two.
  • Morgan Sanson and Bertrand Traore both returned to the squad last weekend following injuries and will be pushing for a start. Leon Bailey has also benefitted from another week of training.
  • It will be intriguing to see whether Smith’s experimentation with a 3-5-2 was a long-term plan to get Ings and Watkins in the side or to merely match up with Chelsea.
  • It’s a formation that won’t get the best out of the impressive wide options at his disposal, with Bailey still waiting for a first start of the season.
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains sidelined for the Toffees so we could see an unchanged lineup from last week.
  • James Rodriguez is training with the rest of the team but his involvement is still very much in doubt.
  • Salomon Rondon will be pushing for a first start but for the time being Richarlison is likely to lead the line.
