Premier League 30/10/2021 – Leicester v Arsenal

  • Brendan Rodgers says Jamie Vardy is fit after a knee problem but Patson Daka is still pushing for a start after some impressive displays of late.
  • A late decision will be taken on Ricardo Pereira, with the full-back suffering from muscle tightness. Ryan Bertrand and Luke Thomas are on standby.
  • Illness may keep Ayoze Perez out of the squad on Saturday, though he wasn’t expected to start anyway.
  • Wilfred Ndidi is still sidelined for Leicester along with Wesley Fofana, James Justin and Marc Albrighton.
  • Forgotten man Harvey Barnes scored in midweek but may have to settle for a place on the bench as Rodgers favours a front two.
  • There has been a sickness bug going around at Arsenal this week with Pablo Mari, Ben White, Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard all suffering.
  • Nuno Tavares was really bright in the absence of Tierney last time out so he is more than ready to continue if the Scot is not available.
  • We could actually see an unchanged Arsenal side from the 3-1 win over Aston Villa with Arteta hopeful on White being available to start at the back.

Premier League 30/10/2021 – Tottenham v Manchester United

  • Ryan Sessegnon is the only player missing for Tottenham ahead of their welcome of Manchester United.
  • Bryan Gil will be assessed having come off in Spurs’ Carabao Cup win over Burnley, though was unlikely to have started anyway.
  • Despite defeat to West Ham last weekend, Nuno Espirito Santo could opt to name the same XI that started the game at the London Stadium as he seeks to build consistency.
  • Paul Pogba lasted just 15 minutes in Manchester United’s 5-0 thumping at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday after his red card shortly after coming on and he is suspended.
  • However, better news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the potential returns of French pair Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial.
  • If fit, Varane would come back into side alongside Harry Maguire, while Marcus Rashford may start from the left in the capital.
  • Edinson Cavani and Nemanja Matic could both feature from the outset here, too, while Jesse Lingard and Donny van de Beek perhaps feel they deserve a chance after Sunday’s humiliation.
