About Whatchan - Adrian Dane

Adrian Dane, a native of Grimsby on the northeast coast of England, has been a devoted football enthusiast since the early 1980s. Growing up in a town with a rich maritime history, he found his passion on the football pitch rather than the docks. His love for the sport was nurtured by frequent visits to some of the nation’s most storied stadiums. From cheering on his hometown team at Blundell Park to experiencing the electric atmosphere at Bloomfield Road in Blackpool and witnessing legendary matches at Old Trafford, these experiences have fuelled his lifelong dedication to football.

Adrian’s professional journey is as diverse as it is intriguing. He began his career serving in the Royal Navy, where he developed discipline, resilience, and a global perspective. After his naval tenure, he ventured into the music industry by opening a Happy Hardcore shop, catering to fans of the high-energy electronic music genre. His entrepreneurial spirit didn’t stop there; he also made his mark as a promoter and DJ with XL Promotions, orchestrating events that brought music enthusiasts together. Dane also dabbled in music production, creating a remix of the Great Escape with his cousin, Lee Mason.

The duo reunited recently, creating a remix of Thunderclouds by LSD (Lee Mason remix).

With a natural talent for mentoring and communication, Adrian spent over a decade as a Learning & Development Trainer for BT (British Telecom). In this role, he empowered countless individuals by sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth. His ability to connect with people and facilitate learning became one of his most valued skills. Adrian Dane’s ability to produce impactful learning aids led to him leaving BT after a career of over twenty years to set up pics2vids.

For the past ten years, Adrian has been channelling his expertise into the iGaming industry, working with a leading company where he provides insightful weekly football previews. His analyses combine a deep understanding of the game with industry knowledge, offering valuable perspectives to a wide audience of football fans and bettors alike.

Recognising a gap in how fans accessed information about football broadcasts, Adrian took the initiative to create a solution. On December 26th, 2019, he launched his website, www.whatchan.co.uk. The platform was designed to help visitors effortlessly find the channels airing all the top football fixtures, simplifying the viewing experience and ensuring that fans never miss a moment of the action.

Through his website and professional endeavours, Adrian continues to share his passion for football, connecting fans to the sport he loves and contributing to the community that has given him so much joy throughout his life.
