  • Henri Lansbury came off injured early into the second half against Derby on Saturday and is a doubt to face Chelsea in midweek. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu is on standby to deputise.
  • Luke Berry, Jordan Clark and Sonny Bradley are still injured for the Championship outfit.
  • Danny Hylton has scored in back-to-back matches and was the WhoScored Man of the Match from the bench against Derby at the weekend. He will push for a rare start here.
  • Chelsea have to get over Carabao Cup disappointment quickly as now they have the FA Cup to prepare for on Wednesday. Thomas Tuchel will make wholesale changes given the sharp turnaround from Sunday’s penalty cut shoot-out defeat at Wembley.
  • Cesar Azpilicueta came off against Liverpool with a knock and is unlikely to be risked here, while Hakim Ziyech missed out completely after an injury suffered in the Champions League last week.
  • Romelu Lukaku has been benched for Chelsea’s last two matches but will lead the line against Championship outfit Luton on Wedensday. Kepa was brought on for penalties on Sunday and ended up missing the decisive spot kick that lost it for Chelsea but he will start here.
  • Reece James made his comeback from injury against Liverpool after two months out and will get more minutes here. Andreas Christensen and Ben Chilwell will continue to miss out here.

  • Southampton remain without injured trio Alex McCarthy, Lyanco and Nathan Tella for Wednesday’s welcome of West Ham.
  • Ralph Hasenhuttl has recently opted for a 4-4-2 system once more and should continue with the setup here.
  • The Saints boss should make changes to his first choice XI, with Yan Valery, Willy Caballero, Thierry Small and Ibrahima Diallo among those to start here.
  • Andriy Yarmolenko has recently been given time off by the club on account of Russia’s ongoing invasion of his homeland Ukraine, but partook in light training on Monday.
  • Manuel Lanzini recovered to start West Ham’s 1-0 win over Wolves, but Arthur Masuaku didn’t pass a late fitness test and will be assessed.
  • Angelo Ogbonna and Vladimir Coufal are both confirmed injury absentees for the Hammers.

  • Thiago is ruled out after getting injured in the warm-up of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea.
  • Caoimhin Kelleher was the penalty shoot-out hero for Liverpool and he will keep his place in goal here.
  • Jurgen Klopp will ring the changes after Sunday’s final went all the way to spot-kick.
  • With Premier League survival at stake, Dean Smith will likely play a second-string side in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
  • Former Liverpool centre-back Ozan Kabak has a decent chance of starting at Anfield to give Ben Gibson and Grant Hanley a rest.
  • Tim Krul was back on the bench at the weekend after recovering from a shoulder injury and he should be back in the starting XI here.

  • Callum Davidson made just one change to his Saints side after they got the better of Hearts 2-1 at McDiarmid Park, before they fell to a 3-1 defeat in Dingwall against Ross County on Saturday despite going ahead.
  • Jacob Butterfield replaced Murray Davidson in the middle of the park. He accompanied Melker Hallberg as protection to the three man defence with Ali Crawford looking to provide for Glenn Middleton and Callum Hendry.
  • It was the latter that opened the scoring in the Highlands, meaning that’s now three goals in four games for Callum Hendry. A great return, considering he spent the first half of the season on loan at Championship side Kilmarnock.
  • Giovanni van Bronckhorst made two changes after the Gers’ success over German giants Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night in their Europa League tie as they blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Motherwell at Ibrox.
  • Borna Barisic dropped to the bench, as Glen Kamara replaced him. That meant a reshuffle, which saw Calvin Bassey move out to left-back and John Lundstram partner Connor Goldson in defence. Ryan Jack missed out completely.
  • Fashion Sakala also entered the starting XI after his hat-trick saw the Gers smash Motherwell 6-1 at Fir Park on Halloween. And he appeared to justify his inclusion when netting the Gers’ second on Sunday afternoon.
