  • Liverpool is currently in discussions with Paris St-Germain about a potential loan deal for French striker Kylian Mbappe. This comes after Mbappe turned down a record-breaking £259m offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
  • Liverpool is also negotiating with Southampton for their 19-year-old Belgian midfielder Romeo Lavia. An initial offer of £34m plus £4m in add-ons was rejected.
  • Music tycoon Jay-Z is considering a bid for Tottenham if the club’s owner Joe Lewis is found guilty of alleged fraud and insider trading.
  • Bayern Munich is confident about finalizing a deal to sign 30-year-old Tottenham striker Harry Kane before the transfer window closes.
  • An executive meeting involving Bayern’s CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, technical director Marco Neppe, and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is scheduled for Monday. Bayern plans to make a £75m bid for the England captain.
  • After signing French midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, 19, from Rennes, Chelsea will refocus on negotiations for Montpellier’s 20-year-old French forward Elye Wahi. The plan is to loan Wahi to sister club Strasbourg.
  • Atalanta has initiated talks with Nottingham Forest about signing Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis, 25.
  • Manchester United’s manager Erik ten Hag is reconsidering his plan to sell Scottish international Scott McTominay, 26, to West Ham due to an injury to fellow midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, 18.
  • West Ham is unlikely to make another bid for Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, 30, due to his price tag and wage demands.
  • Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat is hopeful for a move to Manchester United, but the 26-year-old Moroccan midfielder is willing to wait until the winter transfer window or next summer to join Barcelona.
  • Aston Villa is planning a move for 27-year-old Spanish winger Adama Traore, who is currently a free agent after leaving Wolves.
  • Liverpool may lose out on £7.5m in add-ons from Bayern Munich if Senegal striker Sadio Mane, 31, leaves the Bundesliga club for Saudi side Al-Nassr.
  • Manchester City’s Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte, 29, may leave the club if they sign Croatian centre-back Josko Gvardiol, 21, from RB Leipzig.
  • Paris St-Germain has dismissed the idea of selling Brazilian defender Marquinhos, 29, despite interest from clubs including Al-Nassr.
  • Roma has agreed to sign West Ham and Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca, 24, on loan with a £19m option to buy.
  • Aston Villa is persisting in their efforts to sign Barcelona’s Ferran Torres, 23, but the financial package offered to the Spanish forward does not meet his expectations.
  • Former Everton winger James Rodriguez will be introduced as a Sao Paulo player on Sunday. The 32-year-old Colombian international was a free agent after leaving Olympiacos.
  • Monaco has agreed to a £17m deal with Southampton to sign Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu, 24.
