Championship 17/5/2021. Two games in the Championship play-offs today. At 18:00, on Sky Sports Main Event is Bournemouth v Brentford. At 20:15, also on Sky Sports Main Event, is Barnsley v Swansea City.
Championship 17/5/2021 – Bournemouth v Brentford
- Jonathan Woodgate could make just two changes to the side that lost 2-0 at home against Stoke on the final day with Jack Stacey replacing Adam Smith at right-back.
- Lewis Cook will miss the entire playoff campaign with an ACL injury.
- Winger Junior Stanislas is nursing a hamstring injury and is doubtful for the first leg of this playoff semi-final.
- Brentford boss Thomas Frank has a big call to make on Monday night with Bryan Mbeumo and Sergi Canos both vying for a starting berth in a wing-back role.
- Key duo Rico Henry and Josh Dasilva will miss all of Brentford’s playoff games due to injury.
- Marcus Forss should keep his place up front alongside Ivan Toney, who broke the Championship goalscoring record on the final day.
Championship 17/5/2021 – Barnsley v Swansea City
- Valerien Ismael has been sweating over the fitness of star midfielder Alex Mowatt ahead of the playoff campaign, but he should be fit to feature here after missing the final day clash with Norwich with a groin problem.
- Toby Sibbick could return to the bench this weekend with Michael Sollbauer set to return.
- Orlando City loanee Daryl Dike didn’t start on the final day but is likely to start on Monday after netting nine league goals since arriving in January.
- Steve Cooper will favour the 4-3-3 system over the 3-5-2 for the playoff campaign with Jamal Lowe and Andre Ayew both deployed out wide.
- Liam Cullen impressed towards the end of the season and should keep his place ahead of the more experienced Wayne Routledge.
- The left-back spot is the only area of contention in this Swansea side with Ryan Manning pushing to replace Jake Bidwell.
