  • Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger will likely return in defence for Chelsea after skipping the midweek defeat to Arsenal, with Cesar Azpilicueta expected to move out to right wing-back.
  • N’Golo Kante and Jorginho will be reunited in midfield after being rotated in recent games to keep them fresh, though the latter was at fault for Arsenal’s winner on Wednesday. Mateo Kovacic is also back for the final.
  • Christian Pulisic was seen limping after the defeat to Arsenal but Timo Werner is expected to take his place in the team here anyway.
  • Ben Chilwell played 90 minutes against Arsenal in midweek so logically Marcos Alonso should start here, though the former will be desperate to face his former club Leicester in the final.
  • Jonny Evans has missed Leicester’s last two matches through injury and Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to have him back here.
  • James Maddison should return to the starting XI at Wembley after being partially rested against Manchester United in midweek.
  • Ricardo Pereira was an unused substitute against United and will hope to be recalled here, though it wouldn’t be a surprise if Marc Albrighton kept his place.

  • Danny Ings returned from injury earlier than expected to score a brace in Southampton’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Tuesday. Given the sharp turnaround between matches, coupled with the fact Ings has an outside chance of making England’s Euro 2020 squad, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he dropped to the bench here.
  • Jan Bednarek is unlikely to recover from injury in time to face Fulham after coming off at half-time on Tuesday night, with Mohammed Salisu ready to step in for a rare start.
  • Now relegation is confirmed for Scott Parker’s side he may turn to the players he will count on in the Championship next season.
  • Mario Lemina cannot face parent club Southampton, while Harrison Reed is still an injury concern for the away side. Tom Cairney and Terence Kongolo should miss out once again.
