  • Frank Lampard has confirmed Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be back in the squad to face Chelsea. At some point he may have to gamble on his fitness with relegation close.
  • Donny van de Beek and Andre Gomes have been ruled out once again but Yerry Mina returns after missing the defeat to Liverpool last weekend.
  • Ben Godfrey sustained a late injury ahead of last weekend’s Merseyside Derby and is ruled out. He joins Andros Townsend and Nathan Patterson on the sidelines.
  • Tom Davies is back in training for the Toffees, but this game comes too soon for the midfielder.
  • Reece James looked far more comfortable at right wing-back on Thursday night and he should continue here at Everton.
  • Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic, Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi miss out on Sunday.
  • Andreas Christensen was absent for Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at Manchester United through illness and will be assessed.

  • Sergio Reguilon misses out this weekend with a groin problem so Ryan Sesegnon may get a reprieve at left wing-back.
  • In other news Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga and Matt Doherty all still ruled out for Antonio Conte’s side..
  • Timothy Castagne sustained a head injury against Roma on Thursday night but has been cleared to play here if necessary.
  • Leicester’s injury woes have eased considerably and Brendan Rodgers does have ample options across the park.

01/05/2022 Football – Premier League – West Ham v Arsenal

  • Kurt Zouma’s return to fitness is a huge boost for West Ham, with Craig Dawson suspended for the welcome of Arsenal.
  • David Moyes is without Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna here, so should go with a three-man backline once more.
  • With the focus on the Europa League, the likes of Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio are unlikely to be risked.
  • Bukayo Saka is fine despite coming off against Manchester United last weekend, though Gabriel Martinelli is on standby if required.
  • Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney are also absent, but Takehiro Tomiyasu made his first appearance since January late on against Manchester United and could replace Cedric Soares at right-back.
  • Eddie Nketiah will hope to start a third straight game for Arsenal, though Alexandre Lacazette is back.
  • Otherwise, Mikel Arteta is unlikely to make sweeping changes.

01/05/2022 Football - Cinch Premiership - Celtic v Rangers

01/05/2022 Football – Cinch Premiership – Celtic v Rangers

  • Ange Postecoglou made three changes after Celtic crashed out of the Scottish Cup semi-final courtesy of a 2-1 defeat to Rangers – after extra-time – at Hampden Park, before responding with a 2-0 victory over Ross County in Dingwall.
  • Anthony Ralston replaced Josip Juranovic at right-back, after the Croatian picked up a knock against Rangers at the national stadium. It’s understood that he’ll struggle for fitness before mid-May.
  • Matt O’Riley replaced Tom Rogic, to accompany Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate in midfield. In attack, Liel Abada made way for Kyogo Furuhashi to make his first start since Boxing Day and score in the Highlands. Jota also started and scored.
  • Giovanni van Bronckhorst made five changes after Rangers’ 3-1 victory at Fir Park last Saturday before suffering a late blow on Thursday, losing the first leg of their Europa League semi-final to RB Leipzig 1-0 in Germany.
  • Calvin Bassey and John Lundstram joined Connor Goldson as a centre-back trio in front of Allan McGregor. Ryan Jack and Joe Aribo came into midfield, the latter supporting the incoming Ryan Kent and Scott Wright in attack.
  • Leon Balogun, Steven Davis, Scott Arfield, Amad Diallo and Fashion Sakala all made way to sit among the substitutes in midweek. With no recognised striker available recently, the Gers have opted for a false nine so selection ought to be interesting.
