Unfortunately, the injury bug has hit the squad hard as several key players are ruled out for the remainder of the season. Donny van de Beek will be unable to take to the field due to a knee injury, while Christian Eriksen’s return may not come until April or even May as he battles an ankle injury. Scott McTominay is still recovering from a muscular injury, and Anthony Martial has experienced a setback in his recovery, keeping him on the sidelines. Marcel Sabitzer may have the opportunity to make his first start as Casemiro is suspended following a red card against Crystal Palace.
Rodrigo will be out of action until April after undergoing surgery on an ankle injury. Additionally, Archie Gray, Adam Foreshaw, and Stuart Dallas are also nursing injuries and will be unable to play. To add to the list of absentees, Sonny Perkins is likely to miss this match as well due to an ankle injury sustained against Accrington Stanley. On a positive note, Robin Koch will be available after serving his suspension against Nottingham Forest.
