However, Tottenham seems undeterred in their pursuit and is also considering Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez as a potential replacement for their aging goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris.
Meanwhile, Paris St-Germain is rumored to be interested in bringing Erling Haaland from Manchester City to join forces with Kylian Mbappe. However, the latter is still keen on a move to Real Madrid, as per his representatives who have expressed regret over signing a new contract with PSG.
Chelsea, on the other hand, has made the signing of Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona their top priority for the summer. The club is also interested in securing the services of Portugal forward Joao Felix, who is currently on loan at Chelsea from Atletico Madrid.
Former Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has reportedly flown to Istanbul to hold talks with Trabzonspor about becoming their new manager. Meanwhile, Manchester United is prepared to break the bank to make Harry Kane the most expensive British player of all time by signing the England striker from Tottenham.
In other news, Everton has set its sights on Sheffield United’s Senegal forward Iliman Ndiaye, while West Ham is monitoring Norwich midfielder Gabriel Sara, who is also attracting interest from Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig. Finally, Barcelona is unlikely to pursue a deal for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, while St. Louis City is among the clubs interested in signing Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino when he becomes a free agent this summer. Marseille is unlikely to trigger their purchase option for Manchester United’s Eric Bailly, and Barcelona has lost interest in signing Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram.
