  • Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier are now both back from long-term injuries and could start against Arsenal on Monday.
  • Fabian Schar was also fit to make the squad in defeat to Manchester City last weekend, while Ryan Fraser could return here as well.
  • Jonjo Shelvey and former Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock have both been ruled out for Newcastle’s remaining games.
  • Rob Holding is banned after his red card against Tottenham on Thursday, while Gabriel needs assessing after coming off injured late on.
  • Ben White was back on the bench but Mikel Arteta didn’t risk him despite losing two centre-backs in the game. He will start here, however.
  • Emile Smith Rowe was an unused substitute in defeat to Tottenham and will hope to come in for Monday’s trip to St. James’ Park.
  • Alexandre Lacazette is an option up front after losing his place in the side to Eddie Nketiah in recent weeks.
