Nathan Ake, the Dutch defender of Manchester City, is a doubt for the upcoming match due to a hamstring injury he sustained against Bayern Munich in midweek. The City boss Pep Guardiola will have to assess Ake’s fitness before the game.
On the other hand, Sheffield United is facing an injury crisis, with up to five players potentially missing the match. The Blades’ manager will be sweating over the fitness of his players and hoping to avoid any more injury setbacks ahead of the crucial fixture.
Meanwhile, James McAtee and Tommy Doyle will not be available for selection for Manchester City in this game, as they are on loan at other clubs. Wes Foderingham is expected to return to the starting lineup after serving his suspension, providing a much-needed boost to Sheffield United.

Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Mason Mount’s situation at Chelsea and could rival Liverpool for the 24-year-old midfielder this summer. Additionally, Arsenal sent scouts to monitor Real Sociedad’s Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi and French defender Robin le Normand. Chelsea and AC Milan are both interested in Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who has only one more year on his contract. His advisors have travelled to London to speak with Manchester City.
Roberto Firmino of Liverpool is said to have agreed to join Barcelona when his contract expires, while Paris St-Germain are preparing a £133m bid for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. In addition, Mauricio Pochettino is the new front-runner for the Chelsea manager job.
