- Ahmed Abou El Fotouh was fit enough to start the last-16 win over Cote d’Ivoire and should continue at left-back, while Mohamed Abdelmonem is set to keep his place at centre-back.
- However, Mohamed El Shenawy and Hamdi Fathi both sustained knocks in Wednesday’s penalty shootout win and will be assessed.
- Akram Tawfik remains absent for Egypt.
- Ilias Chair remains Morocco’s only injury concern for their quarter-final meeting with Egypt.
- Morocco may continue with a 4-4-2 setup for Sunday’s game, with Youssef En-Nesyri partnering Ayoub El Kaabi in attack.

- Wayne Rooney will look to name an unchanged starting XI for the visit of Birmingham this weekend, despite suffering defeat in the East Midlands Derby.
- Much-travelled midfielder Ravel Morrison misses out through suspension after he was sent off during last weekend’s game.
- This game could come too soon for Lyle Taylor, who has joined Birmingham on loan from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.
- Lee Bowyer could revert back to the 3-4-1-2 system for the trip to Derbyshire with winger Jeremie Bela and central midfielder Gary Gardner both in contention for recalls.
