Your Step-by-Step Script for a Doctor's Visit

If you feel overwhelmed, just follow this simple script. Write down your answers beforehand.

  1. Greet Politely: Start with "Добър ден, докторе." (Good day, Doctor.)
  2. State the Main Problem: Use the two magic phrases:
    • Боли ме... (My... hurts.) + [Body Part]. Example: Боли ме гърлото.
    • Имам... (I have...) + [Symptom]. Example: Имам температура.
  3. Say How Long: Use "От..." (Since...). Example: От вчера. (Since yesterday.)
  4. Mention Important History: State any known conditions or allergies.
    Алергичен/а съм към... (I am allergic to...)
    Имам... (I have...) e.g., диабет/високо кръвно (diabetes/high blood pressure).
  5. Ask a Question: Finish with a simple question. "Какво трябва да правя?" (What should I do?)
