  • MK Dons have only won two of their eight games in all competitions since they beat Morecambe to reach this stage of the League Cup, but one of them did come in their last game, away to Portsmouth, on Saturday, where they won 2-0.
  • Leicester have won four of their last five competitive games, with the only defeat coming against second in the Premier League, Manchester City. They booked their place into this round of the League Cup with a 3-0 win over Newport County.
  • This game should see Leicester win here.

  • Ross McCrorie and Anthony Stewart continued in a back three. However, Liam Scales was unable to play against parent club Celtic as Jack MacKenzie took his spot in the Dons defence.
  • Matty Kennedy and Hayden Coulson started at right and left wing-back respectively. Ylber Ramadani was chosen to sit, with Connor Barron and Leighton Clarkson expected to provide for Duk and Bojan Miovski in the Aberdeen attack.
  • Michael Beale’s first Rangers XI contained three changes from the last starting eleven that Giovanni van Bronckhorst selected as Gers boss, as they won a topsy-turvy clash against Hibs at Ibrox by a 3-2 scoreline on Thursday night.
  • Adam Devine covered for Borna Barisic at left-back, the Croat sat among the substitutes as his compatriots sealed a third-placed finish at Qatar 2022. John Lundstram started at centre-back, alongside James Sands, with Leon King unavailable.
  • Ryan Jack joined Glen Kamara in midfield. Fashion Sakala was chosen to join Malik Tillman and Ryan Kent in support of their midweek matchwinner Alfredo Morelos. Antonio Colak was omitted from the matchday squad due to a calf injury.
