  • Callum Brittain and Hayden Carter both remain out owing to injury.
  • Daniel Ayala twisted his ankle in the win over Norwich on the weekend and so will likely be out for this game.
  • Sam Gallagher who had recently returned from injury, limped off against Norwich and so will have to be assessed before this game.
  • Giulian Biancone has been ruled out until the end of the season with a knee injury.
  • Cheikhou Kouyate could be out for a number of weeks after he tore his hamstring while at the World Cup with Senegal.
  • Omar Richards and Moussa Niakhate both remain out with injury.
  • Morgan Gibbs-White looks to miss out after coming off in the friendly win over Valencia.
  • There was some concerns over the fitness of Serge Aurier and Jack Colback owing to knocks, but they should be fine to feature here.

  • Axel Tuanzebe remains out injured.
  • Jadon Sancho may not feature as he works on an individual fitness programme.
  • Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are both likely to miss this game, as they were both in the squads for their national teams in the World Cup Final on Sunday, with Varane playing over 100 minutes in that game.
  • Ashley Westwood remains a doubt for this game, though he is close to a return after being involved in some of the World Cup break friendlies.
  • Anass Zaroury has been at the World Cup with Morocco and as they only played their last game on Saturday, it is likely he will not be involved here.
  • Connor Roberts will be suspended after receiving a straight red card in the 3-1 win over Middlesbrough on the weekend.
  • Vitinho will be out for potentially a month owing to an impact injury.
  • Nathan Tella caught a bug so he may miss out here.
