- A team from Saudi Arabia is in the UK, making a final effort to acquire Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah for £200 million. They believe Salah, the 31-year-old Egyptian forward, is interested in joining Al-Ittihad.
- Besiktas is on the verge of securing Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe, a 28-year-old winger from Ivory Coast, for a nominal fee.
- Jadon Sancho, a 23-year-old England winger, risks being sidelined at Manchester United unless he transfers to a Saudi Arabian team, according to former Man U defender Rio Ferdinand.
- Chelsea is contemplating a move for Brentford’s 27-year-old England striker, Ivan Toney, in the upcoming January transfer window.
- Sergio Ramos, a 37-year-old former Spain defender, turned down a last-minute offer from Manchester United to rejoin Sevilla.
- West Ham plans to extend a short-term contract to Jesse Lingard, a 30-year-old England midfielder, during the international break.
- Al-Ettifaq aims to sign Demarai Gray, a 27-year-old winger from Everton and Jamaica, who is eager to exit Goodison Park.
- Jamaal Lascelles, the 29-year-old captain of Newcastle United, is being targeted by Saudi Pro League team Al-Shabab, as he has fallen out of favor at St James’ Park.
- Anderlecht is close to signing Kasper Schmeichel, a 36-year-old Denmark goalkeeper, who recently left Nice and had garnered interest from Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford.
- Manchester United is still looking to offload Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek, 26, as the Saudi Pro League transfer window nears its close.
