Women’s Finalissima
The Women’s Finalissima is a forthcoming football match organised by CONMEBOL and UEFA, which will feature the winners of the Copa América Femenina and the UEFA Women’s Championship. The match, scheduled to be a one-off quadrennial event, is equivalent to the CONMEBOL–UEFA Cup of Champions for women. CONMEBOL and UEFA announced the competition in 2022 as part of a renewed partnership. The first edition of the Women’s Finalissima will take place on April 6, 2023, at Wembley Stadium in London, England, between Brazil and England.
In 2020, UEFA and CONMEBOL signed a renewed memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation, which led to a joint UEFA–CONMEBOL committee examining the possibility of organising European–South American intercontinental matches across various age groups in men’s and women’s football. In 2021, they renewed the memorandum of understanding, which will last until 2028, and included specific provisions on opening a joint office in London and organising various football events.
On June 2, 2022, CONMEBOL and UEFA announced a series of new events between teams from the two confederations, which included the Women’s Finalissima. The competition will be played between the winners of the Copa América Femenina and the UEFA Women’s Championship.

Inter Miami are willing to offer Lionel Messi an equity stake in the club to convince him to join, and Arsenal are in negotiations with Leicester’s 25-year-old Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans and with 23-year-old English forward Reiss Nelson for a contract extension.
