09/05/2023 Football – Champions League – Real Madrid v Manchester City

According to recent reports, Real Madrid’s Ferland Mendy is set to sit out yet another game due to his ongoing calf injury. However, Los Blancos could potentially see the return of Luka Modric to the starting lineup after he came off the bench in the Copa del Rey final. The Croatian midfielder was previously sidelined with a hamstring injury but could be fit enough to feature in the next match.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s Nathan Ake could be a doubt for their upcoming game as he pulled his hamstring in their match against Leeds last weekend. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to start or not.

On the other hand, Cole Palmer is the only known absentee for Pep Guardiola’s side in their next game. The young midfielder has been out of action due to an undisclosed injury, but there is no further information on his potential return.

Paris St-Germain could be looking to sign Roma boss Jose Mourinho this summer. According to reports, Luis Campos, the football adviser of PSG, has been in touch with Mourinho’s agent to discuss a possible move to the French club. The Portuguese manager has been in charge of Roma since the start of the 2021/22 season and still has two years left on his contract.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi’s future at PSG remains uncertain. The Argentine forward’s contract with the French club expires this summer, and while there were rumors of a possible move to Al Hilal, it seems he has not yet made a decision on his next move. Messi is expected to wait until after the end of the French season on June 3 to make a decision.

In other transfer news, Chelsea could use Christian Pulisic as part of a potential deal to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. The Blues are reportedly looking to offload Pulisic, and Napoli is said to be interested in the American forward. The Italian club values Osimhen at around €80m, and Chelsea could use Pulisic as a makeweight to lower the price.

Barcelona has set an asking price of €80m for Raphinha, with Newcastle United and Chelsea reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian winger. The former Leeds United player has been in excellent form this season and has caught the eye of several top European clubs.

Bayer Leverkusen has renewed their interest in Granit Xhaka, with the German club looking to sign the Arsenal midfielder this summer. The Swiss international was linked with a move away from the Gunners last summer, but a deal failed to materialize.

West Ham has set a £100m valuation for Declan Rice and is not interested in any player being used as part of a swap deal. However, the Hammers are said to be considering Marseille and France midfielder Matteo Guendouzi as a potential replacement for Rice.

Eintracht Frankfurt has warned clubs interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani that the French forward will cost at least €90m. The 24-year-old has been in excellent form for the German club this season and has attracted interest from several top European clubs.

Finally, Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise is reportedly attracting the attention of PSG. The French club is said to be ready to make a summer bid for the France Under-21 international, who has been one of the standout players in the Championship this season.
