Meanwhile, Liverpool seems to be winning the race for World Cup champion and Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton, with a whopping £70m deal on the cards (Mirror). In a similar vein, Chelsea has their eyes set on Moises Caicedo, Brighton’s Ecuadorian midfield dynamo, readying a £70m bid for the summer transfer window (Fichajes).
In the north of England, Manchester City’s veteran English defender, Kyle Walker, 32, appears inclined to shun overseas interests and fulfill his contract’s remaining year at the Etihad Stadium (Sun).
