22/02/2023 Football – Champions League – Inter Milan v Porto

For Inter:

  • Joaquin Correa is the only injury concern for manager Simone Inzaghi’s side.
  • Inzaghi rested several key players in their last match against Udinese, including Andre Onana, Lautaro Martinez, and Milan Skrinar. However, all three are expected to start in this match.

For Porto:

  • Sergio Conceicao, the Porto manager, is dealing with a number of injury issues in his squad.
  • Evanilson, Fabio Cardoso, Gabriel Veron, and Francisco Meixedo will all miss the match.
  • Additionally, Matheus Uribe, Galeno, and Otavio are all doubtful for the match. Toni Martinez was forced off late in the last match and is also a doubt for this game.

22/02/2023 Football Gossip & News

Chelsea’s France midfielder N’Golo Kante is set to extend his contract with the club, as he recovers from his recent injury. The 31-year-old has been a key player for the Blues since his arrival in 2016 and has helped them win multiple trophies, including the Premier League and the Champions League. Kante’s work rate and exceptional defensive skills have made him one of the best midfielders in the world, and Chelsea will be delighted to have him commit his future to the club.

Former Tottenham and Paris St-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino has turned down an initial approach from Chelsea to replace Graham Potter. Pochettino’s experience and tactical acumen would have made him a strong candidate for the role, but it seems he is content at his current club, PSG.

Aston Villa are open to offers for goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who has been in excellent form this season. The 30-year-old Argentine played a key role in his country’s triumph in the 2021 Copa America, and his performances have attracted interest from several clubs. It remains to be seen if Villa will sell Martinez, but they will surely demand a high transfer fee for him.

Manchester United will reportedly not make any big-money signings in the summer transfer window, even if the club is taken over by Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Qatari’s interest in the club has been well-documented, but it appears that United will continue to pursue a more cautious approach to recruitment.

Leicester City are keen to retain the services of playmaker James Maddison, but will consider selling him in the summer if he does not sign a new contract. The 26-year-old has been linked with several top clubs, including Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Tottenham. Maddison’s creativity and technical ability make him a highly sought-after player, and his departure would be a significant blow to Leicester’s prospects.
