Euros 3/7/2021 – Czech Republic v Denmark

  • Jan Boril is back from suspension for Czech Republic and will hope to reclaim his place immediately.
  • Antonin Barak and Petr Sevcik were surprise starters against the Netherlands, with Jakub Jankto and VladimĂr Darida now sweating on their place in the XI.
  • Simon Kjaer was a doubt heading into the Wales game only to come off injured midway through the second half. Joachim Andersen is on standby.
  • Kasper Dolberg is surely guaranteed to keep his place in the side on Saturday after capping his first start of the tournament with a brace against Wales.

Euros 3/7/2021 – Ukraine v England

  • Artem Besedin is out for six months with a knee injury suffered in Ukraine’s extra-time triumph over Sweden.
  • Ukraine will desperately hope to have Andriy Yarmolenko available after he limped off against Sweden on Tuesday night.
  • Artem Dovbyk will deputise if Yarmolenko fails to recover after netting the winner off the bench in midweek.
  • Ukraine switched to a back three against Sweden and will more than likely persist with that system here.
  • Ruslan Malinovskiy was surprisingly benched against Sweden and may well have to settle for a role as an impact player here as well.
  • Gareth Southgate used a back three for the first time this year in their 2-0 win over Germany last time out but may well revert to a back four against Ukraine.
  • Jack Grealish made a positive impact once again as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Germany on Tuesday but has no chance of starting if England continue in a back three.
  • Kieran Trippier and Declan Rice were struggling with injury towards the end against Germany so Southgate may have to consider changes there, especially as Rice will miss the semi-final if he is booked against Ukraine.
  • Southgate opted against using Mason Mount in the end after his period of self-isolation but he should come into the side against Ukraine, most likely for Bukayo Saka.
  • Harry Maguire and Kalvin Phillips are also one booking away from a suspension with Tyrone Mings and Jordan Henderson on standby if required.
