  • Nuno Tavares deservedly kept his place at left-back ahead of Kieran Tierney against Liverpool last weekend but after an error-prone performance he may drop out here.
  • Martin Odegaard will push for a start after dropping right down the pecking order at the Emirates this season.
  • Mikel Arteta is short on quality in central midfield with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Mohamed Elneny alternative options to Albert Sambi Lokonga.
  • Eddie Howe will be in the dug-out this weekend after missing his opener with COVID-19.
  • Karl Darlow had a game to forget against Brentford and Howe will surely give serious consideration to Martin Dubravka here.
  • Fabian Schar came off injured in the 3-3 draw with Brentford and may need replacing at centre-back to face Arsenal.
  • Unless Emil Krafth is asked to play as a third centre-back or Isaac Hayden drops into defence, Howe may have to revert to a 4-2-3-1 formation to cope with Schar’s absence.
  • Ryan Fraser and Miguel Almiron are fit to start this weekend but it’s difficult to find a place for them in the team at the moment.
  • Dwight Gayle will need to be assessed after picking up a hamstring problem in training.

  • Graham Potter will ponder changes this weekend after losing 2-0 to Aston Villa last time out.
  • Potter is boosted by the return of first-choice goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who missed the defeat to Villa through suspension.
  • Enock Mwepu has an outside chance of returning this weekend but Danny Welbeck and Steven Alzate are ruled out.
  • It wouldn’t be a surprise if Tariq Lamptey dropped out of the side after as Potter manages his return from a lengthy lay-off.
  • Neal Maupay, Solly March and Joel Veltman are among those pushing for recalls on Saturday.
  • Marcelo Bielsa has revealed Rodrigo and Raphinha are both available to face Brighton after the pair missed last weekend’s defeat to Tottenham through injury and illness, respectively. Jamie Shackleton is also back after injury.
  • Luke Ayling will play for Leeds’ U23s on Monday, while Patrick Bamford and Robin Koch are in the home straight of their recoveries, as there is finally light at the end of what has been a very long tunnel for Leeds.
  • Junior Firpo returned from injury as a substitute against Tottenham and is an option to start here.
  • Kalvin Phillips impressed as a third centre-back against Tottenham and may continue there against Brighton.
  • Tyler Roberts could replace talented youngster Joe Gelhardt in attack if Rodrigo fails to recover in time.
