  • Shandon Baptiste returned from a dislocated shoulder in last weekend’s 3-3 draw with Newcastle and Brentford have more returning here.
  • Mathias Jensen, Mads Sorensen and Yoana Wissa are all back available for the home side but Zanka is expected to fall short.
  • Charlie Goode and Mads Roerslev are in competition to start at the back for Brentford with Kristoffer Ajer also unavailable for the home side.
  • Brentford could still be without at least six players for Saturday’s welcome of Everton.
  • Richarlison is suspended due to an accumulation of bookings to add to Everton’s woes this weekend. Mason Holgate is still banned.
  • Demarai Gray also came off injured in defeat to Manchester City but his injury is not as bad as first feared and he could feature here.
  • Abdoulaye Doucoure trained on Thursday and has an outside chance of making the squad this weekend in what would be a major boost for the away side.
  • Allan has now emerged as a major doubt for Everton. Should he miss out then Jean-Philippe Gbamin could get the rarest of starts unless Benitez is prepared to risk Doucoure.
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Tom Davies are still missing for the Toffees.
  • Salomon Rondon will likely come into the team with Richarlison suspended, with Alex Iwobi in line to replace Gray.

  • Chelsea were terrific in their 4-0 demolition of Juventus on Tuesday night but it came at cost with N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell both leaving with knee injuries.
  • Neither will play here. Chilwell could miss the remainder of the season, but Kante is pencilled in to return next week.
  • With Mateo Kovacic sidelined, Ruben Loftus-Cheek could get the nod in midfield to replace Kante over Ross Barkley and Saul Niguez.
  • Marcos Alonso has just returned from injury and he will be needed straight away to replace Chilwell.
  • Former United striker Romelu Lukaku was back on the bench against Juventus on Tuesday and will be desperate to start against his former club.
  • Tuchel, however, has suggested he won’t. Timo Werner or Christian Pulisic will lead the line if Kai Havertz fails to shake off a hamstring problem in time.
  • Callum Hudson-Odoi has started seven straight games for Chelsea and is enjoying his best spell for the club.
  • Andreas Christensen, Trevoh Chalobah and Cesar Azpilicueta are battling for one spot in the back three this weekend.
  • Paul Pogba has served his three-match ban but ruled out for the remainder of the year with injury. Harry Maguire replaces him on the naughty step after his dismissal against Watford last weekend. Eric Bailly will deputise for Maguire.
  • Luke Shaw will need to be assessed after missing the win over Villarreal in midweek through concussion. Michael Carrick could revert to a back three against Chelsea if Shaw is fit to deal with Maguire’s absence. Otherwise Alex Telles will keep his place.
  • Mason Greenwood looks set to miss out once again after recently testing positive for COVID-19. Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani are still injured for the away side. Fred picked up a knock to his ankle in midweek but should be fine here.
  • Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes will return to the starting XI at the expense of Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek, respectively.
  • Jadon Sancho will keep his place in the side after scoring his first goal for the club in the 2-0 win away to Villarreal.
