Premier League & Others 10/4/2021. Three games in the Premier League today. At 12:30, on BT Sport 1, is Manchester City v Leeds United. At 15:00, on Sky Sports Main Event, is Liverpool v Aston Villa. At 17:30, on Sky Sports Main Event, is Crystal Palace v Chelsea.
Premier League & Others 10/4/2021 – 12:30 -Manchester City v Leeds United
- Pep Guardiola will ring the changes from the side that worked hard for a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
- Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling, Benjamin Mendy, Fernandinho and Ferran Torres will all hope to benefit from some rotation this weekend.
- With the second leg against Dortmund to come next week, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he rested Kevin De Bruyne against Leeds.
- Leeds are forced into at least one change with Jack Harrison out against his parent club.
- Raphinha will likely switch over to the left wing with Helder Costa coming into the side for Harrison.
- Marcelo Bielsa welcomed back Rodrigo, Liam Cooper and Pablo Hernandez last weekend.
- Rodrigo is pushing Tyler Roberts for a start in midfield.
Premier League & Others 10/4/2021 – 15:00 – Liverpool v Aston Villa
- Jurgen Klopp will no doubt make changes from the side that disappointed against Real Madrid on Tuesday, with an eye on the return leg next week.
- Roberto Firmino will certainly start here but it remains to be seen whether it’s alongside Liverpool’s forwards or in place of one of them.
- Xherdan Shaqiri, James Milner, Curtis Jones and even Ben Davies have a chance of starts on Saturday.
- Jack Grealish has suffered a set-back in his recovery and is now out for another couple of weeks.
- Trezeguet scored twice from the bench against Fulham last weekend to win the game for Villa and he will hope to be rewarded with a start here.
- John McGinn was pushed into a more advanced role against Fulham instead of Ross Barkley but the ex-Everton midfielder will hope to face old rivals Liverpool on Saturday.
- Morgan Sanson has found starts tough to come by since joining Villa in January but will hope to keep his place in the side here. Jacob Ramsey and Marvelous Nakamba are other options for Dean Smith.
- Roy Hodgson can only welcome back James McArthur from his lengthy list of injured players this weekend. Nathaniel Clyne will return to training next week.
- Michy Batshuayi scored off the bench to secure a point for Palace in last weekend’s draw with Everton but won’t be able to build on that here as he is ineligible to face parent club Chelsea.
- Thiago Silva is the only absentee for Chelsea as the Brazilian serves a one-match ban for last weekend’s red card against West Brom.
- N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic were fit enough to come off the bench in Wednesday’s 2-0 win away to FC Porto.
- Chelsea are all but through to the last four of the Champions League but Thomas Tuchel is still expected to shuffle his pack here after of next week’s second leg.
- Kurt Zouma, Marcos Alonso, Olivier Giroud, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi will all be in with a chance of starting here.
