- FC Zuerich should stick with much of the side that defeated Hearts to make the group stage of the Europa League.
- Emile Smith Rowe is set for a spell out after suffering a muscle injury after Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
- Mikel Arteta is expected to make wholesale changes for their Europa League opener.

- Erik Ten Hag is expected to wield the changes as Manchester United begin their Europa League campaign.
- Cristiano Ronaldo, Casemiro, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, Fred and Anthony Elanga should all start this one.
- Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both missed the Arsenal game on Sunday through injury. Both have decent chances to start here if they recover in time.
- Zidane Iqbal impressed on pre-season and could get minutes during the Europa League campaign.
- Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford came off on Sunday with muscle injuries and are unlikely to be risked here.
- Martin Dubravka could debut here. Phil Jones and Brandon Williams have been left out of United’s Europa League squad.
- Umar Sadiq scored on his Real Sociedad debut from the bench against Atletico Madrid at the weekend and will hope to make his first start here.
- Benat Turrientes made the bench at the weekend after recovering from injury. Diego Rico remains a doubt.
- Former Manchester City ace David Silva returns to Old Trafford.

08/09/2022 Football – Europa Conference League – West Ham v FCSB
West Ham boss David Moyes said he would “love to be in a position to win” the Europa Conference League as they get their campaign under way on Thursday.
The Hammers face FCSB in their first group game at the London Stadium.
Moyes’ men reached the semi-finals of the Europa League last season but he hopes they will now go far in the third-tier European competition.
“The group stage is never the bit that makes you go ‘great, I’m looking forward to the games’,” said Moyes.
“But everybody is hoping to qualify for the knockout games, which were more exciting last season,” added the West Ham boss, whose side face Romanian opponents in FCSB.
“I watched the [Europa League] final between Roma and Feyenoord and it was an excellent game. If you look at Jose Mourinho – who has won all the competitions – how he considered how big he felt it…
“I would love to be in a position to win it as well.”
