29/03/2023 Football – Women’s Champions League – Arsenal v Bayern Munich

Arsenal women’s football team can still win three trophies this season, according to manager Jonas Eidevall. The team is due to play Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Women’s Champions League quarter-finals on Thursday, where they need to overturn a 1-0 deficit. Eidevall said Arsenal could beat any team and added that winning the Champions League would be a “special achievement.” He stressed the need for his team to attack and create goal-scoring opportunities in the crucial match. Arsenal also have a chance to win the Women’s Super League and are still in the hunt for the FA Cup.

Eidevall said winning the Champions League would be the “greatest thing you can win in club football” and would be a special achievement for Arsenal, who are the only English side to have won the competition. The team has not reached the semi-finals in a decade but came close to equalising against Bayern Munich in the first leg. Eidevall said that although the match would be determined by small details, his team had a chance of progressing to the next round.

Arsenal defender Rafaelle Souza said the team could not afford to make any mistakes against Bayern Munich and would need the support of both the fans and the team to win. She added that it would be amazing to win three trophies this season but that the team was solely focused on the Champions League at present. Arsenal are currently fourth in the Women’s Super League, three points off the top.
