  • Bayern Munich is showing a growing confidence in their potential signing of England striker Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, undeterred by Paris St-Germain’s interest in the 29-year-old.
  • Bayern’s top executives, Jan-Christian Dreesen and Marco Neppe, have remained in Germany to finalize the £100m deal for Kane, instead of accompanying the team to Japan.
  • A world-record £259m bid from Al-Hilal for Kylian Mbappe has led PSG to expect player-plus-cash offers from European clubs. Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Inter Milan, and Barcelona have shown interest in the 24-year-old French forward.
  • Bayern Munich is considering Brentford’s Spanish goalkeeper David Raya, 27, which could pave the way for Switzerland’s Yann Sommer, 34, to join Inter Milan.
  • Zion Suzuki, 20, the goalkeeper for Urawa Red Diamonds and Japan, has declined a move to Manchester United.

  • Leeds United is making headway in their efforts to sign English goalkeeper Karl Darlow, 32, from Newcastle United.
  • Arsenal is on the verge of signing Gremio’s 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder Bitello, who was previously linked with a move to Serie A.
  • El Bilal Toure, 21, the Malian striker, has chosen to join Atalanta from Almeria, rejecting Everton.
  • Everton is negotiating with Leeds United for the transfer of Italian forward Wilfried Gnonto, 19.
