  • Tottenham Hotspur is gearing up to present an initial bid of £40m for James Maddison, Leicester’s playmaker. However, Leicester is holding out for £60m for the 26-year-old England player.
  • Napoli’s refusal of Paris St-Germain’s €100m (£86m) offer for Victor Osimhen, the 24-year-old Nigerian striker, might trigger a bidding war. Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle are ready to make their offers.
  • Bayern Munich might be leading the race for Harry Kane, the 29-year-old Tottenham and England striker, who is reportedly interested in a move to Germany.
  • Newcastle is in the final stages of discussions with Southampton, who were recently relegated, for a potential £15m deal for Tino Livramento, the 20-year-old English full-back.
  • Manchester United is open to selling 13 players this summer, including England duo Jadon Sancho and Harry Maguire.
  • Manchester United’s pursuit of Adrien Rabiot, the 28-year-old French midfielder, has hit a roadblock as he is likely to sign a new contract with Juventus, the Serie A giants.
  • Chelsea has agreed on personal terms with Moises Caicedo, the £80m-rated midfielder, but still needs to negotiate a fee with Brighton to sign the 21-year-old.

  • AC Milan is set to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the 27-year-old former England midfielder, from Chelsea for €15m.
  • Unai Emery, the Aston Villa manager, is interested in reuniting with Pau Torres, Villarreal’s Spanish centre-back. They believe they can secure him for less than his £51.5m release clause as he only has one year left on his contract.
  • Gylfi Sigurdsson, the 33-year-old former Everton and Iceland midfielder, is expected to make a surprising move to DC United, managed by Wayne Rooney.
  • Sheffield United, recently promoted, is in “advanced” talks to loan Mason Holgate, the 26-year-old English centre-back, from Everton, their Premier League rivals.
  • Liverpool has joined Arsenal in the race to sign Romeo Lavia, the 19-year-old Belgian midfielder, from Southampton, who were recently relegated.
  • Wolfsburg, the Bundesliga team, will ask for £26m for Micky van de Ven, the 22-year-old Netherlands Under-21 defender, who has been linked with Tottenham.
  • Chris Rigg, the 16-year-old English player from Sunderland, has turned down a move to Newcastle, Sunderland’s local rivals.
  • Arsenal has increased their bid to £41.5m for Jurrien Timber, the 22-year-old Ajax and Netherlands defender.
