27/12/2022 Football – Premier League – Chelsea v Bournemouth

• Both Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech reached the semi-finals of the World Cup with their respective countries and so are unlikely to feature here.
• Wesley Fofana came off in a friendly match against Brentford with a knee injury so he is ruled out here.
• N’Golo Kante continues to be sidelined.
• Armando Broja sustained a serious knee injury during a friendly match during the World Cup break and could be ruled out for a number of months.
• Carney Chukwuemeka, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ben Chilwell and Kepa Arrizabalaga all remains doubts through injury, but could all return soon.
• Reece James looks set to return, after being ruled out for a number of weeks with a knee injury.

• David Brooks and Neto continue to miss out, but both could make a return early in the new year, from injury.
• Jefferson Lerma, Ryan Fredericks and Marcus Tavernier have been suffering with an illness and so will have to be assessed before this game.
• Lloyd Kelly is back in full training, so looks set to make a return.

• Axel Tuanzebe continues to be ruled out.
• Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane will miss out here, owing to being involved in the World Cup squads of the two finalists.
• Diogo Dalot is a doubt for this game, after he missed the League Cup win over Burnley with an injury which he had originally sustained during the World Cup.
• Harry Maguire also missed the game in midweek, through illness, so will have to be assessed before this game.

• Giulian Biancone has been ruled out until the end of the season with a knee injury.
• Cheikhou Kouyate could be out for a number of weeks after he tore his hamstring while at the World Cup with Senegal.
• Omar Richards and Moussa Niakhate both remain out with injury.
• Morgan Gibbs-White and Serge Aurier will have to be assessed before this game, after they both missed the midweek Carabao Cup match against Blackburn.
