- Fillip Kostic didn’t play a part in the opening game against Brazil, so remains a doubt to start here.
- Dusan Vlahovic may be in line to start in this game, after coming on as a substitute against Brazil, to offer a more attacking threat

- Son Heung-Min had picked up an face injury that could have kept him out the tournament, but he started the game against Uruguay with a face mask, and should also play here.
- Ghana suffered no injuries in their opening game to Portugal, so they have a full squad to select here in a must win game.

- Brazil started the group with a 2-0 win over Serbia, with Richarlison scoring both of the goals. They can qualify for the Round of 16 with a win here, so long as Serbia can avoid defeat in their game against Cameroon.
- Switzerland also started with a win, beating Cameroon 1-0, thanks to a goal from Breel Embolo. They can also book a place in the next round if they are able to win here and Cameroon are able to avoid defeat in their match against Serbia.
- This game will likely be a tight contest, but expect Brazil to get the win here.

28/11/2022 Football – World Cup – Portugal v Uruguay
- Portugal got their 2022 World Cup campaign underway in dramatic fashion, beating Ghana 3-2 on Thursday. A win puts Portugal into the Round of 16 and they can even win the group with a win, if the earlier game between South Korea and Ghana ends in a draw.
- Uruguay were held to a 0-0 draw with South Korea, in a game where they only managed to get one shot on target. In matchday two they cannot qualify for the next round or go out of the World Cup, but a win here would make for a drama-filled final day, especially depending on what happens in the South Korea-Ghana game.
- It was a slow start from Portugal in their first game, with their first goal coming in the 65th minute, and Uruguay will be a tough team for them to break down and with that, this game may end in a draw.
