  • Bournemouth could find themselves without star man Arnaut Danjuma come kick-off on Friday evening with Premier League clubs registering a growing interest in the 24-year-old Dutchman.
  • Asmir Begovic departed to become Jordan Pickford’s understudy at Everton, so Mark Travers could finally get his chance in between the sticks.
  • Chris Mepham remains suspended after he was sent off during last season’s play-off semi-final against Brentford, so expect Lloyd Kelly to partner Steve Cook here.
  • Valerien Ismael will hand a league debut to Alex Mowatt, who he brought across from Oakwell after taking over the reins as West Brom manager.
  • Sam Johnstone could still depart the club this summer but should start ahead of David Button on the opening day.
  • Matheus Pereira has requested to leave the Hawthorns this summer and could be left out of Ismael’s first matchday squad of the season.
  • Former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Adam Reach joined on a free transfer earlier this week and could be used off the left this season in a similar fashion to Callum Styles’ involvement under Ismael at Barnsley.
