Football 7/9/2021. There are World Cup qualifiers today. Scotland plays Austria and Ireland take on Serbia this evening. England’s U21’s are also playing.

Football 7/9/2021 – Austria v Scotland

• Franco Foda may make changes to his setup and personnel for the welcome of Scotland after a 5-2 loss to Israel.
• Marcel Sabitzer and Julian Baumgartlinger are both out for Austria, who could revert to a 4-3-3 system.

• Andy Robertson came off late on against Moldova, but Steve Clarke has said he had planned to bring the Tartan Army captain off at some point and he should be OK to start.
• Stephen O’Donnell will also be assessed, however Clarke may resist making sweeping changes for Tuesday’s meeting with Austria.
• Che Adams may come in for Kevin Nisbet in attack.
• Ryan Fraser and Kenny McLean have both been ruled out of the game in Austria.

• Republic of Ireland could again start with a three-man backline for the welcome of Serbia.
• Stephen Kenny may make a couple of personnel changes, with Daryl Horgan and Conor Hourihane coming in for Aaron Connolly and Jayson Molumby.
• Seamus Coleman has been ruled out of the game against Serbia. Cyrus Christie has been drafted in as his replacement, and he could be called upon immediately in defence.

• Head coach Dragan Stojkovic has no injury or suspension concerns for the trip to Dublin.
• He could name an unchanged XI for the midweek game, which would see Sergej Milinkovic-Savic start in a front three.
