05/03/2023 Football Gossip & News

In the world of football, transfer rumors and speculations never cease to abound. The latest news making the rounds is that Barcelona is still keen on signing Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, and the latter club is reportedly open to selling the 28-year-old for a fee of €65m (£57.5m). Silva’s contract with City is set to expire in June 2025.

Meanwhile, Manchester City is said to be eyeing Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig, with rumors circulating that they may be willing to sell 28-year-old Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte, who is attracting interest from Paris St-Germain. This has prompted City to look for a possible replacement in Gvardiol, who is only 21 years old.

In other transfer news, French midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been identified by Manchester City as a potential replacement for 32-year-old Germany international Ilkay Gundogan, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona. Both players are out of contract in the summer, and Rabiot could be a viable option for City.

Tottenham, on the other hand, has reportedly set a minimum asking price of £100m for 29-year-old England striker Harry Kane, who has 15 months left on his contract with the club. With Kane’s contract situation and his impressive performances on the field, it is not surprising that he is attracting attention from some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is said to be interested in Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who is currently playing for Barcelona. However, reports suggest that the 25-year-old is not keen on leaving the Catalan club.

Brighton’s Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo may have signed a new contract with the club, but he is still expected to be a target for some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs this summer. The 21-year-old has been impressing with his performances and could be a valuable addition to any team.

In other transfer news, Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old Portuguese attacker Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid, as well as West Ham’s 24-year-old England midfielder Declan Rice. To help cover the cost of these potential signings, the club plans to sell five players.

AC Milan is said to be interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and may have to pay a fee of €25m (£22.1m) to acquire the 27-year-old. Meanwhile, Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie has been linked with a move away from Barcelona, but the Spanish club has no intention of selling the 26-year-old.

Lastly, Liverpool’s Brazil forward Roberto Firmino has reportedly decided to leave the club when his contract runs out in the summer. According to his agent, the 31-year-old has not spoken to any other clubs yet, but it remains to be seen where he will end up next.
