  • Ross Barkley is a doubt due to illness, though was unlikely to have featured anyway.
  • Mateo Kovacic sustained an ankle injury in the first half of Chelsea’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Crystal Palace and is unlikely to be risked, with the Croat joining Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi on the sidelines.
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored at Wembley on Sunday and could be rewarded with a start here.
  • Mikel Arteta will hope to have Alexandre Lacazette available for selection after the Frenchman missed the trip to Southampton having tested positive for COVID for the second time this season.
  • Eddie Nketiah led the charge for the Gunners at St. Mary’s, but he may drop out of the XI at the expense of Emile Smith Rowe, with Gabriel Martinelli potentially leading the attack.
  • Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney miss out, while Takehiro Tomiyasu is closing in on a return to fitness.

  • Donny van de Beek will be assessed, but Tom Davies, Andros Townsend and Nathan Patterson all remain out.
  • Lampard could go with the same XI that beat Manchester United earlier this month.

Ryan Fraser has a slim chance of featuring against Crystal Palace in midweek, but is likely to sit out the welcome of the Eagles.
Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier are both sidelined, though may return at the end of the month.
Despite a quick turnaround, Eddie Howe may go with an unchanged XI here.
Nathan Ferguson is Patrick Vieira’s only injury concern for the trip to Newcastle.
Chelsea denied Conor Gallagher the chance to feature in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final and the England international is expected to return for midweek.
Vicente Guaita, Jordan Ayew and Nathaniel Clyne should also return to the side here.

Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan were on the bench against Liverpool but neither were actually fit enough to come on. At least one should start here.
Ruben Dias has been an unused substitute for Manchester City’s last two matches after a six-week lay-off but could return here.
Rodri, Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte should all return to the starting XI on Wednesday after being rotated out the side to face Liverpool at the weekend.
Ederson will return in goal after Zack Steffen’s nightmare outing at Wembley on Saturday.
Steven Alzate missed Saturday’s win over Tottenham due to illness, while a thigh injury ruled out Shane Duffy. Both are doubts for Wednesday’s trip to Manchester.
Graham Potter took off Enock Mwepu off at half-time against Tottenham to protect him from a second yellow card.
Yves Bissouma is banned for two matches after picking up his 10th booking of the campaign, just on the threshold for games played (32).
Moises Caicedo’s first Premier League starts have come in back-to-back games in wins over Arsenal and Tottenham. The 20-year-old will hope to keep his place in midfield here.
Adam Webster is an option in defence but he hasn’t started a league game in more than two months.
Adam Lallana, Neal Maupay and Danny Welbeck are pushing for recalls on Wednesday night. Lallana, in particular, will hope to do old club Liverpool a favour in midweek.
