- Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani returned from injury in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Monday, with the latter even scoring.
- Bruno Fernandes has hit five bookings for the season and is now suspended for United’s home match with Burnley.
- Victor Lindelof tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and is now unavailable to Ralf Rangnick.
- Eric Bailly has flown back from AFCON for this game and will then re-join his country afterwards.
- Scott McTominay limped off against Newcastle and will have to be assessed, while Fred was hooked at half-time along with Mason Greenwood.
- Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka may rotate into the side given the sharp turnaround between matches, while Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho should also start.
- Anthony Martial wants to leave United and wasn’t in the squad to face Newcastle. Eric Bailly and Jesse Lingard were also absent.
- Burnley’s last three matches have been postponed due to COVID-19.
- Maxwel Cornet was a doubt at the start of that run and still wasn’t in training in midweek.
- Nick Pope, Phil Bardsley and Jay Rodriguez were also not pictured in training raising doubts over their availability.
