Stoke v Tottenham

Michael O’Neil has plenty of injury concerns heading into Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final with Stoke and that will limit his ability to rotate.

Jose Mourinho is expected to shuffle his pack from the side that lost 2-0 to Leicester at the weekend but key men like Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min could still be involved.

Giovani Lo Celso is unlikely to feature after coming off injured in defeat to Leicester on Sunday.

Gareth Bale has endured a hugely underwhelming return to Tottenham so far but will hope to get some minutes under his belt in midweek.

Matt Doherty was always likely to start this match but will certainly come in to the side after Serge Aurier’s error at the weekend.

Out of favour midfield duo Dele Alli and Harry Winks will be desperate for some game time.

Everton v Manchester United

Andre Gomes is a doubt after missing the win over Arsenal at the weekend with a slight hamstring issue.

James Rodriguez has missed Everton’s last three games through injury and Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he will miss out once again here.

Seamus Coleman returned from injury in the 2-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday and will likely start against Manchester United.

Key players like Allan and Lucas Digne are ruled out for the home side and will be missed.

Ancelotti has otherwise confirmed he will go with his strongest available XI.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will miss out on Wednesday due to injury and both are major doubts for Boxing Day.

Alex Telles is also expected to rotate into the side and take Luke Shaw’s place at left-back after he came off an hour into Sunday’s 6-2 win over Leeds.

Dean Henderson has started both of Manchester United’s Carabao Cup games so far this season and will hope to start here.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Brandon Williams will battle to fill the space left by Wan-Bissaka at right-back, with Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly also in contention in defence.

Solskjaer has confirmed changes will be made to freshen things up Jesse Lingard in line for minutes, albeit potentially only from the bench.

Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Donny van de Beek are options for the away side at Goodison Park.
