WDF circuit
The World Darts Federation runs the successor to the BDO international circuit. WDF events feed into the Lakeside World Championship and Women's World Championship.
Every major televised tournament in the professional darts season, from the PDC's seven flagship TV majors through the European Tour, the weekly Premier League and the independent circuits that fill in the gaps.
The seven televised PDC majors form the spine of the professional darts year. Each has its own format, venue and identity.
96 players, sets format, £2.5M prize fund. The sport's biggest event and Christmas television fixture. Current holder: Luke Littler.
July · Winter Gardens, Blackpool32 players, legs-only format, Phil Taylor Trophy. The summer major that built the PDC's identity. Taylor holds the record with 16 titles.
Oct · Mattioli Arena, Leicester32 players, double-in double-out. The only major where you must hit a double to start scoring. Taylor holds 11 titles.
Feb-May · rotating UK/EU arenas8 players, 16 league nights + Play-Offs at the O2. The weekly roadshow that sells out arenas from Belfast to Berlin.
Jan · Marshall Arena, Milton KeynesTop 16 only, legs format, three days. The year-opening major that sets the tone for the Premier League season.
Mar · Butlin's Minehead160 players, random draw after every round. The FA Cup of Darts - amateur and professional players in the same bracket.
Oct · Westfalenhallen, Dortmund32 players, European Tour Order of Merit qualification only. The continental major that rewards floor-tour consistency.
Nov · WV Active, Wolverhampton32 players, group stage + knockout, Eric Bristow Trophy. The one major that starts with round-robin group play.
Beneath the televised majors sits the PDC Pro Tour: a year-round schedule of non-televised ranking events (Players Championships) played in leisure centres and hotel venues. Results on the Pro Tour determine Order of Merit rankings and qualification into TV majors.
Studio-based weekly competition, open to all. Match practice, prize money and a growing streaming audience outside the PDC calendar.
