2026 F1 Race Calendar

The 2026 Formula 1 World Championship features a mammoth 24-race calendar, the joint-longest season in the sport's history. The campaign kicks off under the lights in Bahrain in early March and concludes with the traditional season finale in Abu Dhabi in December. In between, the grid will visit iconic circuits across five continents, from the narrow streets of Monaco to the high-speed sweeps of Silverstone and the neon-lit Las Vegas Strip.

The 2026 season marks the dawn of a new technical era, with dramatically revised regulations introducing more powerful hybrid energy systems, active aerodynamics, and cars designed to produce closer, more competitive racing. Six Sprint weekends are scheduled throughout the year, adding extra action on Saturdays at selected venues. Sprint Weekends

Six rounds on the 2026 calendar feature the Sprint format, which condenses the weekend schedule and adds an extra short race on Saturday. Sprint weekends follow a modified timetable:

  • Friday: Practice 1 (60 mins), Sprint Qualifying (SQ1, SQ2, SQ3)
  • Saturday: Sprint Race (~100 km / approx. 30 mins), Qualifying (Q1, Q2, Q3)
  • Sunday: Grand Prix (full race distance)

The Sprint Race awards points to the top 8 finishers on a scale of 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. These points count towards both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships. The 2026 Sprint weekends are:

  1. Round 3: Australian Grand Prix — Albert Park, 5 April
  2. Round 4: Chinese Grand Prix — Shanghai, 19 April
  3. Round 6: Miami Grand Prix — Miami, 17 May
  4. Round 11: Austrian Grand Prix — Red Bull Ring, 12 July
  5. Round 19: United States Grand Prix — COTA, 18 October
  6. Round 21: Brazilian Grand Prix — Interlagos, 8 November
